I really enjoyed this as well.  I loved the 70's theme and look and it paid homage to TCM really nicely.  I can't believe this is the same actress that was in Prom Night (2006).  What a terrific performance from her and from everyone.  One of the things I enjoyed most about it outside of the gore was the interesting dialogue written for the characters.  It challenged the way you look at some things.  Looking forward to the prequel.

I will chime in on this and say that Brittany Snow was incredible in her role! Brilliant performance!

Yeh I absolutely loved X. 
 

Will be hard for any films to unseat it and Scream as my year end favourites I’d imagine.

Finally saw this a few days ago (will be watching Pearl soon) and have to say it mostly lives up to the hype. Strong use of the 70s slasher vibe and liked the performances from everyone (this has to be the most impressed I’ve ever been with Brittany Snow). B+
