el sid
The first trend: #1 NTTD 150k/5.57M #2 Eternals 140k/515k #3 Contra 85k/420k #4 Venom2 60k/940k #5 Die Schule der magischen Tiere 50k/1.220 ... Last Night in Soho 42.5k Die Rettung der uns bekannten Welt 30k Krass Klassenfahrt 7.5k Only one film had a nice hold - Contra. But especially the hold of the family film Die Schule der magischen Tiere is terrible so the new rules had a big impact. In which states are they in effect now, I thought only in Bavaria and planned in others? The WOM of Eternals is mixed which could also be a reason why its hold isn't better. The new releases all start under the expectations, only Soho's number is quite ok but Rettung and Klassenfahrt reached not even 1/3 of their already muted predictions. IndustriousAngel
first weekend estimates from insidekino.de: #1: NTTD - 150k (-44%) #2: Eternals - 140k (-48%) #3: Contra - 85k (-21%) Family films with steep drops, the Covid regulations do have serious impact it seems.

Regarding NTTD, Is it enough for 6 millions admissions ?

He predicted exactly 6M with a weekend of 146k admissions and NTTD is slightly above in the first trend. I saw that he was way more pessimistic when it comes to the new releases than the members of insidekino. Die Rettung got 503 copies, in pre-pandemic times that would have been a big start, and Klassenfahrt 253. The target audience of both films are partly or even mainly teenagers. el sid
A way better third trend: #1 NTTD 170k #2 Eternals 150k #3 Die Schule der magischen Tiere 90k #4 Contra 82.5k #5 Venom2 77.5k #6 Happy Family2 42.5k #7 Last Night in Soho 40k #8 Die Rettung der uns bekannten Welt 37.5k #9 Dune 27.5k I wonder if Mark_G was just conservative in the trends before or if the foggy weather helps. Where I live I saw the last sunshine on Wednesday I think or even earlier. Edited November 14, 2021 by el sid 2
