IndustriousAngel
And today is the first day day for two wide openers - "Buddy" and "Der Medicus" - and it seems Bully Herbig has lost his golden hand for the BO, there's 4 shows for "Buddy" at my theater today which have pre-sold, in total, 4 seats atm ... this is as bad as "Walking with Dinosaurs" if not worse. "Der Medicus" otoh does really good numbers, has pre-sold about 80 seats and might - if it doesn't lose much steam - open to #2 this weekend! (Hard to tell atm; "Frozen" has only pre-sold about 10 seats but with children's film, it's always about walk-in business)

lab276
Crazy days, must be the best December since propably forever!Yeah, Insidekino's week by week feature shows that basically every week of the month so far has shown a good 20%+ improvement over last year, that could lead to nearly 17m admissions for the month. Not since 2003 has it been that high.
keysersoze123
what is the best case scenario for Frozen? 5M admissions?
IndustriousAngel
what is the best case scenario for Frozen? 5M admissions? Seems really impossible, with schools restarting on Jan 7th - but it will have a nice enough 6th weekend! 4.5mil is about what it should make. Poseidon
It isn't impossible at all. Tangled made another 1m admissions after school-holidays ended, coming from a ~380k admission weekend. Frozem should be around 3.8m admissions after the coming weekend, which should be able to top those 380k tangled did, so 5m is possible with Fünf Freunde 3 being the only competition until Mr. Peabody and Sherman opens in late February. IndustriousAngel
Will HOBBIT beat GOTHE? Actually that's the good question atm - really a surprise hit with giant legs! Very possible if H2 keeps dropping abit faster than H1.
Poseidon
I think Goehte will win in the long run incl. open air showings in summer...

zackzack
Will THE HOBBIT/DoS hit $100M in Germany? Edited January 3, 2014 by zackzack
Poseidon
Will THE HOBBIT/DoS hit $100M in Germany? With no Django and a very weak overall january, legs could be better than last year, so maybe, but I think it will land around 95m or so. But it's just a number, inflated by many factors. There's another number, that can't lie: Admissions.
