An increase? You might be asking for a bit much.

JB seems to have a healthy increase ... family stuff often has increases in Germany/Austria; with multipliers of up to 10 and changing weather, week-to-week drops are notoriously unpredictable.

And with two harsh decreases in a row... Maybe many cimemas were cut? Or it has the same target group, at least more than TJB.

Or maybe it's been out for two months now. Not too bad, considering.

No, it isn't and I'm - nearly - totally happy :) (But Germany should have grossed more than Great Britain or France, would have been great)

Maybe Zoo managed to increase more than estimates said:

"Rico , Oskar... (about 45T ), followed closely by Zoomania"

So 40-45k for it (up 20% to 35%) We will see with actuals but it's - again - a good sign for this movie. Great WOM

Germany should be - of course after Japan - one of its biggest plays this weekend :)

A better weekend than the dismal ones before, still somewhat down from last year. Some crazy increases, especially family stuff and arthouse releases ("Le Goût des merveilles" will definitely reach 500k total, delicious multiplicator!). Among openers, Angry Birds landed at the upper end of my expectations; both domestic comedies disappointed with embarassing PTAs.

Next weekend: "The Witch" for horror fans should do well thanks to an empty market; the big opening will be "X-Men Apocalypse" but how big is debatable; the franchise and SH movies as a whole have shown some signs of oversaturation/decline - I'd consider an opening in the 350k range already a success but 300k seem more likely. Of course, much depends on weather … seems rather so-so which means we might see some very different days over the weekend and first estimates might be off a lot!

First weekend trend:

#1: X-Apocalypse - 275k

#2: AB - 175k (-45%)

no other movie with >100k admissions :( - the sun is back!

Horrible XA number

Well, I thought 300k was a realistic expectation, so 275k during an overall depressed weekend don't seem that bad. The franchise is on a decline after all.

I would say the whole genre is slowly going down, the oversaturation hurts superhero movies!
