BO Germany/Austria: Dune first 2024 blockbuster (3mil admissions)

So 875k admissions on the weekend (-25%) for SW and 6,6mio to sunday. Still enough for $80mio on sunday which I was hoping for.

The other releases with good drops or even increases! Spectre and Mockingjay increase while Peanuts doesent drop much from the 4-day weekend.

Maybe the huge week has satisfied some demand for SW. It should be the sixth or seventh top grossing movie after the weekend (€75M) and fourth or fifth after the next week (€80M).

Peanuts: 200k (0%)

Heidi: 120k (+10%, nice - a million very probable)

Spectre: 110k (-5%, 7mil still possible)

yesterday was very slushy but today's nice (Tyrol); on my side of the valley the ground was too warm to form much ice but in the shadows there's some places with mean ice, yes.

Bayern = ~ 30km as the birds fly from Austria, on the top of a hill, garage a bit deeper (north side)

hubby's car needed 1/2h till out of the garage (a bit steep till street).

He moved my car to broaden the ~ gateway (I knew why I placed mine along the street)

= was very late,... he forgot to give back my keys... can't drive to work too, even if someone would pick me up, as my room's door key is also with him

He will return tomorrow in the evening, I could kill him (not seriously meant), but I am really annoyed

Are 9M admissions for SW in trouble? Would need a better multipler than ROTK from now Isn't sure anymore I think.

But it could end between 8,5M and 9,5M admissions.

So €98M to €109M in the end? $100M will surely happen for the third time.

A lot of increases across the board, which makes SW7's drop seem the harder - among last week's Top10, it was the only one which dropped at all, and 27% … ugh. Still, nice totals, but after the great expectations everybody had before it opened, those SW7 numbers ar kind of meh. "Le tout nouveau testament" is a becoming a sleeper hit in arthouses, every weekend around 30k - should hopefully see a slight expansion.

 

Next weekend: Revenant (had that wrong one week) and Danish Girl … Revenant gets a rather wider opening, let's hope the best but I doubt if it can make it into the Top3. For SW7, anything above 550k admissions would be nice.

Dunno what you are talking about. Before it opened i was thinking Hobbit numbers. It is doing a lot better than that and will finish with at least close to 9m admissions, which if i'm not mistaken, is the highest admissions for Star Wars.

yep, as I said, nice totals - but in the weeks before the opening there were talks about a new record weekend, and we knew how that turned out ... and every single drop since then was worse than predictions and estimates. It's a case of too high expectations, not a bad run at all.

Today, TFA becomes only the sixth movie to clear 7mio admisions after 3 weeks.

2nd biggest movie of the decade is locked, maybe it can dethrone The Intouchables with great holds, but I wouldn't bet on it.

So maybe a 1,3M admissions third week? 8,5M admissions are safe, 9M possible and yeah even Intouchables would be possible (9,144M) but it would need a few good holds at last

But $100M Dollar are save, it's already the biggest film of the decade moneywise and it will at least become the fourth biggest of all time with more than €95M and a good possibility, that it will get to €100M. A great success in Germany but of course many (me too) expected more.
