21     A Quiet Place - Part 2                      10.799

This is how the year turned out. Overall last year had a 40% increase over 2020, a fun fact is that it only really surpassed the total of 2020 one week before NWH, so that 40% is all thanks to Spidey. Sony was the leader with a third of the market share, followed by Disney, Warner, Universal and Paramount. On the local movies side however, things were depressing, with brazilian movies contributing to only 5% to the total of the year and with no movie getting into the top 20.

The first 11 movies sold more than 1 million tickets. During normal times the entire top 20 would've done it and with some movies outside the ranking also doing it, for this next year there is still a lot of recovering to do.

Here is the weekend and again the fact that the new year fell on a weekend affected a little, but not much compared to last weekend. All of the movies had really good weekdays.

Monica released with around the half of the opening of the first movie. The first had an excelent 8x multiplier, this one also have really good reviews so legs will probably be strong too, though Sing 2 next weekend will be a problem for it.

Monday:

NWH - R$5.28M

Monica - R$1M

Matrix - R$565k

Encanto - R$33k

Great recovery for Spidey there. If we can get R$15m+ Weekdays, then this weekend can remain flat and we get same as New year one.

230+15 +18 = 260m+ Hope, Tuesday and Wednesday won't disappoint.

I had compared it with EG's weekly chart and was getting 283m before~ but now it looks like R$300m is back in play.
