Elemental drop too fast in NA. For 3 consecutive week, Elemental actually dropped from Thu-Fri! And with the most lucrative part Japan's run is almost over (Obon+Summer), this seriously need some re-expansion or rebound elsewhere to hit 500m.

Yeah seems like this will ended up with the insufferable “too close” situation

Disney really should make a re-expansion for Labor Day and try to push it, it’s a relevant milestone to go for it

Yeah Disney shot itself in the foot with Haunted Mansion killing Indy 5 and Elemental's legs DOM. 

 

Still the OS is actually really impressive to me when you compare it to alot of other Pixar films and it's outgrossed Across the Spider-Verse too.

I thought many claim PVOD doesn't impact legs? Some even said it is helping it, what happened in NA doesn't seem to support the claim.

the legs were totally gone before PVOD came along for Elemental.

Disney/Pixar’s Elemental continues to see great holds, down just 23% this session. The weekend was good for $5.1M in 51 markets to reach an international cume of $317M. Globally, the total is $468.8M after 11 frames.

Internationally, Elemental is now the No. 7 release of the year, having overtaken Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The Top 5 markets are: Korea ($53.4M), UK ($21.7M), France ($21.5M), Mexico ($20.8M) and China ($15.9M).

It looks like it's gonna finish around $490M, so it's gonna need an expansion to get past $500M.
