What are BOT projections for OS weekend? Don't care for Deadline, etc cause they are all shit. The movie didn't open proper yesterday and they already called that it would be domestic heavy and miss 700M WW.

Charlie said 100-110M OS OW. Would be lower than Dom OW. While trade projections about it missing 700M WW maybe wrong, the domestic heavy one seems true albeit not as heavy as TLM. Probably will end up around 55/45.

@GOGODanca @Claudio Thanks guys! I remember that TGM started off skewing dom but them OS really caught on.

In good part because the film blew up in Japan, which is a stupidly leggy market. Spidey will probably skew domestic a bit though since China is looking to go down instead of up and great China was a big part of why the 1st film didn't skew domestic.

Korea and Japan will be fascinating, the first one didn't do much in either despite both being leggy markets especially japan and no hollywood animation has really broken out in korea post covid and only mario in japan which has obvious factors that s-v doesn't

Sad for China performance not good after the Whole world doing extremely well, maybe the era of Hollywood just end in China.

Need to consider it a new era with China consigned to increasing irrelevance for Hollywood again.

China is messing up with so many movies. It killed F&F probably the most China-dependant franchise that isn't a Chinese franchise.

Animated films get more international-heavy as they go on. Mario started out 55/45 but it's gonna end 43/57. Minions 2 started out 55/45 and ended 40/60.

Granted, both films had some INT markets opening late but it's still true. I think it could be 47-50% of gross from domestic when the run is done.
