I know EDR is not a traditional Mother's Day movie, but that's a BIG Sunday drop they're estimating compared to everything else.

Sub-50% drop for a MCU movie in 2023 is nuts. That would be like a Twilight or Potter movie having an excellent 2nd weekend hold 10-15 years ago

 

I really hope people don’t underestimate the significance of this number. Stellar WOM, truly a lifeline for the MCU.

Following Guardians 2 from here gets it to 334M. Guardians 1 gets it to 403M. Black Panther gets it to 370M.

 

Thinking 350 is pretty likely at this point. Competition is heavy the next few weeks so I’m not ready to predict much higher yet, but Word of Mouth is certainly stellar.

I was completely buzzing coming out of theatre after seeing VOL 3. More so than any MCU film that I can remember of recent. Such a great finish.

Recent MCU films have stabilized very well late into their runs. I like $350M right now even with stiff competition

I´m so glad that Vol 3 is getting these holds. Love the movie and it didn´t deserve to be undercut by the other MCU movies failures. Happy to see that it will be a successful BO run.

Sony has the service deal for Toei Animation’s Knights of the Zodiac. The pic’s grosses were $222K for Friday, $186K yesterday and $127K today at 600 theaters, for a 3-day of $535k. So-so numbers in LA, San Diego, NYC and San Francisco, but that’s it.
