I think "Winter SOldier" and the Falcon/Winter Soldier DInney Plus series were pretty political.

But I can;t help but think Cap 4 is going to be political since it;s pretty clearhow people reacto a Black Captain America will be a major plotline.

But as for the comment made here, I smell thinly disguised Go Woke Go Broke .

Originally I raised my eyebrows at some of the OS grosses but makes sense with China and Korea no longer being big markets for the MCU.

That, and I imagine these 4 films will naturally have a higher domestic skew, although FF might end up being a bit stronger OS.

If Doomsday does $800M DOM, I don’t see secret Wars missing $1B DOM based on the sheer scale of that project

I’m expecting lower for the DOM for CA and the OS for Thunderbolts.

Agree with all except F4 for now.

 

Reasons : ( all those that have been confirmed)

 

RDJ doom will definitely show up in some capacity 

 

Galactus done right it seems

 

Recent use of F4 characters in media have made people more aware of them and it will definitely be positive unless movie is very bad

 

Seems like a standalone MCU project away from anything in MCU as confirmed by Kevin himself. So that's a big plus.

 

I would say 350m+ 450m.

I do think Thunderbolts* is gonna be a surprise breakout hit. Maybe near GOTG levels.

 

But I still think Fantastic Four will be bigger.

I think people dont mind politics in movies if the actual movie is actually Good and it makes sense like Black panther.

 

Issue is a lot of films had messaging but they failed at step 1, make an entertaining movie. 

 

Looking at 2024, seems a lot of films have stayed clear of such things and more focused on entertaining the masses.

Please tell me what MCU movies had these “messaging”? The Marvels certainly didn’t. Neither did Love and Thunder, MoM, Ant-Man 3 or Eternals. Unless y’all think female characters existing in prominent roles other than being sex symbols is “messaging”.
