I remember when back in the 2010s, Fox wanted to make him a kingmaker and gave him a huge production deal but nothing came out. Shame Blue Sky had to die for Disney’s greed. However, think he might try Annapurna Animation where most Blue Sky alumni are eventually.

Saldanha's never struck me as someone with real serious creative ambitions beyond giving Brazil more mainstream screen exposure. He'll probably find for-hire animation/family genre work elsewhere if he hasn't already.

He likely needed the paycheck pretty badly after his career home got destroyed by corporate politics. I just feel bad for him at this point. And since he has almost no cache outside the animation industry, this will likely be his last movie for a long time. And what a depressing note to end on.
