And it was a mistake which they realized, which is why they got John Altman at the last minute to do the scoring for the tank chase.  

A shame they balked at paying John Barry $1m to score the film, but then Barry backed out of so many projects around then it still might not have happened.

Honestly, the best way to watch Quantum is RIGHT after Casino. Basically a feature-length epilogue. It's not very good regardless, but it's rougher on its own.

Started re-watching my very first Bond last night: the legendary A View to a Kill. After 30 minutes, I kinda wish there was a sex scene between 80-something Bond and Moneypenny.

Admittedly, I'm a weirdo with this series. I love all 23 like children. I can find value and enjoyment even in the ones I don't like that much.

I like From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty's quite a lot but all of the Moore ones are pretty much total camel shit. Of those I probably hate Golden Gun the least because some of the completely stupid shit in it I can vibe with although it as objectively the worst song.

From Russia with Love rules all. Majesty's is very good, although that second act always really drags for me.

I used to hate the Moores in my teens and early-20's. Certainly went through my "Connery only, fuck everybody else" phase. I've only started to really enjoy them in recent years. Maybe I'm getting old.

I absolutely prefer the crazy-ass Moores to the more respected ones. I'll take Moonraker and Octopussy over Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only. Live and Let Die is my favorite Moore, though. Golden Gun just kinda bores me. It's definitely the Moore I watch the least.
