WorkingonaName
People acting like bayformers wasn't liked at the time, you don't make a billion with bad reception.
AniNate
This should still barely be a weekend where we gain more than 45% on 2023, although this was also the worst weekend that year had the rest of the way and it'll be a lot closer than one would hope. Should've been one of the big layup weekends but that's the way it goes. This and last weekend are illustrative that it's not just gonna be the flashy tentpoles that have to get us there, the under the radar indies and B-tier filler sometimes need to help pull the weight too. Next weekend we probably won't be doing that, but cross that bridge when we get to it. Don't want to rule out Wild Robot making up for things in a big way. grey ghost
The Bayformers 2 scene where the guy as a diversion walked up to security with his pants down and asked for toilet paper was rock bottom for the franchise. I dreamed of watching live action Transformers my entire life but gave up watching Michael Bay movies that day.
lorddemaxus
B for The Substance is amazing. Hoping legs are good so that I can rewatch with a larger crowd next weekend
grey ghost
Did TF/GI Joe start production already? I hope this opening doesn't impact that movie.

That movie is most likely going to get scrapped if it hasn't already. Not only does this opening prove Transformers as a brand is past its prime, but Paramount is also about to undergo a huge regime change. And new suits do not like to deal with the baggage of those who came before.

Need Wild Robot and a non-Sonic/Mufasa December release to overperform. We may still have some surprise hit in the next 3 months. Of the 100m movie thus far, Bettlejuice and IEWU are the most surprising pair.
