Are weekdays in Japan always pretty decent compared to other countries or is this going to fall really hard after the holiday is over?

I didn't think it was possible, but following the Japan run is turning out to be even more fun than the early weeks of the SK run. With a movie as big as Frozen has turned out to be it's only fitting that the last international market that gets it will be its biggest. Frozen gets to go out with a bang!

If its not SB, holiday or summer a midweek often matches the following weekend. Its just a 2 day weekend though. Ladies day makes it a stronger midweek than in the US

 

next midweek could cut by 50% w/o SB but the weekend will hold better. could be 6-7m midweek and weekend. Movies geared toward children will have much smaller midweeks -80%

I'll place the locks. Labas is the key master. Catlover is getting a hacksaw and Omni will have very good digestion eating popcorn as he watches catlover fail to cut thru the kryptonite. Corpse is rising from the dead over this as the doubting Thomas's slowly gain faith.

I'd be absolutely shocked if Frozen doesn't top 100m now. After its 3rd weekend it was at 51.6m, add another 6.3m for this weeks Mon-Tuesday and we are already 57.9. It should be comfortably over 70m by Sunday, probably 72-73m.

Sure, weekdays will probably drop rather steeply starting next week, but even so-so weekend holds will get it over 100m.

100m is now the low end, nobody can say what the high end is yet, we have no idea how it will behave from this point on so the sky is the limit for potential.

Well I think just about everyone here (myself included) always wanted to believe even your most bullish predictions mfantin but they also didn't want to set themselves up for disappointment if it didn't happen. Kudos to you for staying the course but I'm sure you recognize some of the reasoning behind the slightly more conservative estimates as well. Right now I'm just psyched about the real possibility of Frozen hitting #6 WW over that awful transformers movie but I'm still not gonna say it's completely locked just in case the worst should happen and it mostly falls off before Golden Week.
