JAPAN BOX OFFICE | Demon Slayer breaks all time record for OW

Recommended Posts

This World Cup is not very time friendly :P . Lucky I'm on holiday.

Yes, I'm in Indonesia right now. I heard Let It Go (Demi Lovato version) once on radio, but I don't listen to radio much. I saw one pre-school put a big poster about the Frozen play that they were doing. One doll shop even put a big poster saying that they sell official Frozen stuffs. I want to go there but it's a kids and females kind of shop :P . The most surprising thing for me is karaoke in Indo (NAV) has "Life's Too Short" on the song list. Not sure why they put a deleted song.

Where is this doll shop? I was looking for a Frozen doll or other Frozen related stuff for my friend's daughter's birthday. Although I'm worried her parents might already buy her one . Karaoke here does have the most random songs. I've seen unreleased songs on the list, like leaked songs that are not included in the albums. I think they got them from youtube. I'm not even sure if that's legal lol.

Istana Boneka Kelapa Gading. Dunno whether they truly sell official Disney stuffs or they just claimed to sell official stuffs. But I saw a human-sized Anna doll. Karaoke in Indonesia sure has random songs and it's very very unlikely they got it in a legal way. :P

I think everyone here knew that the sales would be huge. People were angry because the sales would still be huge even if Disney delayed the release date, so why sacrifice the box office potential ?

Exactly.  Why don't people understand this?   Movie fans who are actually willing to buy a DVD/bluray/HD download of a movie are not just going to "forget" to buy the DVD if you delay the release a few extra weeks. Especially a "leggy" country like Japan where people wait like 954324 weeks to see a movie.  They can wait 3 months to see a movie, but they won't wait an extra few weeks for the DVD release???  lol.  Come on.

It is amazing that Frozen is increasing showtimes this weekend, despite the fact that the digital download

has begun today !

And it is sure that Frozen will stay in the theaters even after the release of DVD.

Why would people go to see the movie after they have the DVD? To sing along? Japanese girls are so weird..

The singalong version is only screening in two theaters in Japan...

I read the Japanese forum and some guys there say to view Frozen in the theaters is a kind of enjoyment...big screen

and strong sound effect...

OK then Japanese guys are weird too.

I'm a sucker for visual effect and I saw Frozen in theatre, if it was that special I'd know it simply because I live for it. LOTR and The Hobbits are visual feats. Frozen is just pretty, cute and sweet and pretty.

But maybe I'm not girly enough to appreciate it.

The movie is still in theatres in the US and the DVD was released in March.

It isn't the same. Frozen is still in the top 3 when it's this close to the DVD release date. Japanese obsession over Frozen is far more intense.
