This is certainly one of the most impressive box office runs I have seen. It is the 11th weekend and Frozen is down only 8% form the OW! :oThe Mon-Sun figure is around 1.45b, so these will be the drops required for certain milestones:25b - 22%30b - 12.5%35b - 8.75%So going by the track record, 25b is locked, and probably all-time #2 as well while 30b and all-time #1 is indeed a possibility!

With THR's number the average ticket price for the weekend is ￥1426, while last weekend it was ￥1362. So obviously they're wrong, again. This time they missed a couple of zeroes and a 3 lol. It's ￥700.339 million not ￥739 million. But the admission number is correct.

Well, then this explains the "abnormally big" drop. By the way, the weekly drop was less than 10%:

 

19.84 - 18.53 = 1.31

18.53 - 17.08 = 1.45

 

1.31 / 1.45 = 0.903 = 90.3%

 

It's the weekly drop that we want to fall by less than 10% and with such a big Monday, this will still be the case for the current week. (weeks are Mon-to-Sun)

It's not a matter of possibility - of course it's possible. It's a matter of necessity. It HAS TO remain around 7M.

 

Also, isn't the total gross a little above the projected 193/194? Every million is precious.

If I fit a logarithmic linear Regression Modell for the Yen BO of the weekends (discarting first weekend and 8th weekend (golden week) as anomalys) I get an estimate for the average weekly reduction in BO of 2.1% with an standarderror of 0.5%

well, it depends on how many seats of Frozen

will be cut to new movies. But I think it may stay flat or

have a single digit drop.
