In Italy The Hobbit is heading to a € 3.5-4m 4day OW......It was expected twice as much

So italy is another territory where it will finish lower than ROTK in dollar.BTW any numbers from Latin america. That has some potential for growth as ROTK was not that big. But I am not sure hobbit kind of film can be huge. Animation and fun blockbusters seem to do better.

It's still way less than BD2, and less than IA4, Skyfall, Avengers and about on par with TDKR and MAD3. That isn't good when you consider that ROTK had the biggest opening of the year.

Just mentioned another December film, not saying the Hobbit will succeed like Avatar. Just saying films don't always follow trends exactly and we don't know where The Hobbit will end up already.

that is around 138M. Not good at all. With only 3 major markets left and I am iffy about China with the subject matter/late release, I am thinking this will finish on the low end of my 600-650 guesstimate yesterday.
