Jessie
This would seem to be unpopular...Gladiator is good but not one of the best movies of all-time. I have one friend that doesn't like Gladiator. Sorry let me say that again.... I 'had' a friend that doesn't like Gladiator...
lilmac
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Gladiator. It's one of those films I can watch repeatedly. With that said, it doesn't rank as high on my list as it seems to 4 a lot of fanboys and fangirls.
CaptainJackSparrow
It's my fathers favorite film, the only DVD he owns besides Passion of the Christ.
SchumacherFTW
It's my fathers favorite film, the only DVD he owns besides Passion of the Christ. That film is fucking trash! People go on about Saw being torture porn, but that got a pass due to its realistic take on Christ's final hours? Give me a break!

dashrendar44
Beowulf is better than LOTR. No, not DAT Beowulf: And now that we're at it, I think Thor 1 & 2 non-Earth parts are better than LOTR. SchumacherFTW
Beowulf is better than LOTR. If you mean the Ray Winston one from 2007, that movie was freaking awesome! Sucks that it made so little. And that it still isn't available in 3D.
Jessie
I really enjoyed Beowulf, not at all what I expected.

And that it still isn't available in 3D. Yeah it is frickin' epic and the 3D was amazing. I think that people were thrown by the fact it was not live action and dismissed it as "animation". That dragon attack at the end got me on the edge of my seat. Beowulf's (fantasized?) recollection of his swimming race as well. And the passage through time when you experience the hero being worn off as he displays a bitter gaze on his achievements, tormented between the truth and the lies haunting him ("The sins of the Fathers!!!") that forged mythical legends still sung to this day, that's a really powerful treatment of the subject. Jessie
I think Toy Story 3 was boring as hell. Mega mind was better than Despicable me and should have had a sequel instead. The croods is the funniest animation since Finding Memo. John Marston
while Avengers was great, the Decepticon invasion in Transformers: Dark of the Moon and the Kryptonian invasion in Man of Steel was more ominous and threatening than the Chitauri invasion in The Avengers.
