Parasite
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood dropped -52.7% to 536 080 admissions. Total could be around 3-3,2+ depending on how it holds against It and Ad Astra. The Lion King recovered a bit, to 371 92 admissions (-46.6) for a total just over 9M. It should get to 9,6M. Hobbs and Shaw had a -50% hold for a 2,058 cume. It can finish a bit over 2,6M which would be very nice. Meanwhile, in week 12, Parasite had by far the best drop of the top 20, -20% for 40k admissions this week. I will have to check that, but I'm quite certain that it achieved the best 10th, 11th and 12th weekends so far this year. ...and A Dog's Journey eventually opened in France...It had one screen in the whole country for 256 tickets sold. La Vie Scolaire led all movies yesterday with an impressive 98 673 admissions OD (19k previews included), twice as much as Patients two years ago. WOM seems great but weaker than Patients. It's a local comedy about life of teachers and school workers in a disaventaged school in the suburbs of Paris. Co-director Grand Corps Malade is a very popular singer in France. Total might be a bit over Patients (1,3M) considering frontloading, competition and weaker WOM. I'd say 1,5M for now. Angel Has Fallen had an OK 40k OD, but with 11k previews. The number without previews is in line with the previous installements. 1

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood should top out at around 3M TLK and all other family films experienced their last good drop, taking advantage of the end of the vacations before their expected freefall today, tomorrow and next week. Decent debut for Ready or Not (Wedding Nightmare in France), but nothing exceptional. Angel Has Fallen opens in the same range as London and Olympus. It should have, like Ready or Not a finish around 450k. Excellent hold for Roubaix, Une Lumière. Could target 350k admissions. Parasite's full week should be around 30k. And as no big international movie is releasing yet, this week is mostly composed of french releases. Some movies tried to avoid It: Chapter Two by releasing a week earlier. But La Vie Scolaire, and its perfect topic tailored for the back-to-school period, had a strong start last week and takes a huge chunk of the audience interested in french movies. As such, Inséparables, a french comedy aimed at a young audience, managed to gain the first spot with a honourable OD with nearly 50k admissions. It did more admissions than La Vie Scolaire yesterday, so there might be a battle between these two for the weekly #1 spot. For its director (Varante Soudjian), it's a stronger start than Walter, which released last March, as it debuted with 32,158 admissions. It finished its career at 375k. Inséparables has the same lead actor (Ahmed Sylla) as The Climb (L'Ascension), released in January 2017. The Climb had a similar OD (45,459 admissions), and finished its career at 1.1M thanks to the winter holiday. However Inséparables releases in a much weaker period and could more reasonably reach 600-700k admissions. The other movies don't have much traction, Fête de famille mainly attracts an old moviegoer base and doesn't make the same impact as Photo de famille (it's not a sequel - nothing in common between these two movies except the theme) which released at the exact same period last year. While Fête de famille started with a 39k OD and finished just below 600k admissions in total, Fête de famille will only do half that score, so around 300k total. The Swallows of Kabul (Les Hirondelles de Kaboul) will finish around 200k (it will have better legs as a "mature" animated movie). Fourmi and Andy are the real big failures this week. They won't stay for long in theaters. Note that Fourmi is released by Mars Films, which has recently entered recievership. Fourmi won't even reach 100k while Andy won't go farther than 20k. Aristis
$77,9M reported for TLK in France. Either that is a wrong number or it did much better than predicted. That's $3,8M since last Sunday which would be enough for 9,7M+ admissions and therefore more than the total predicted... That's very strange...

I think I didn't really make clear what I meant: $77,9M is already 9,7M+ admissions and after last weekend it was predicted to end at 9,6M to 9,7M. So this number seems impossible though I hope it isn't.
