Parasite
La Belle Epoque should open to at least 60-70k OD. 1 million admissions total is likely. 30-30k OD for Midway, not great. Hors Normes started outgrossing Joker on Tuesday. Hopefully that means WOM is spreading and a great hold next week.
keysersoze123
Cine-directors is predicting 35% drop for Joker and 60% drop for Mal 2!!!! Were there any school breaks until last week that helped Mal 2 and now suddenly it will have a huge drop.

Let's see they always underestimate but I think this week they will be close to actual. Edited November 6, 2019 by RJ
Parasite
62 169 admissions OD (inc. 15k previews) for La Belle Epoque. With Nov. 11, OWeek should be in the 450k area. 1M total is locked, and it can probably shoot for 1,5M admissions now. WOM seems pretty good. 19 318 for Midway and 10 137 (inc. 5k previews) for I lost my body. Awful for both. La Belle Epoque led all movies on Wednesday, followed by Joker. Hors Normes was third. 1

Hors Normes is showing its incredible WOM with the best hold of the top 20 (tied with Le Traître ). Joker's hold isn't glowing, but it's still far better that some other films. Very good OW for La Belle Epoque. Should go well above 1M admissions. It isn't in the chart, but the Mylène Farmer Concert broke records and should be ranked 7th. All the other openers bombed. Midway's score is better than its OD suggested, but it's stil very poor. Terminator : Dark Fate has had awful holds and will be crawling to 1M. All films will be boosted by 11/11, which isn't included here. Edited November 12, 2019 by Parasite 1

Parasite
The only showings listed now are 3D, full ps will start on 18/11, so they will be adding many shows, but for now it looks like normal 9-10am start, without midnights. Ford v Ferrari is looking at about 100k OD if it follows Ad Astra or Gemini Man in pre-sales. That would be a lot higher than what was expected, but even a likelier 80k OD would be a big overperformance. Presales are also indicating J'accuse to open at around 50-60k OD. 1M will be in play.

Paris 14h suggests that Ford v Ferrari is doing nowhere near 80k OD. It's playing more like Anna and John Wick 3 than Ad Astra or Gemini Man in terms of pre-sales frontloading. Maybe 40k OD if evenings are really good. Not great. J'accuse is breaking out, at least in Paris. Probably 60k + previews OD at least.

Many previews have been cancelled, but the movie is still successful nonetheless. It can reach 1M.Le Mans 66 is a bit of a disappointment knowing the potential of Damon and Bale, but french people tend to reject movies about racing that are not animated. Rush was a huge failure here, and so were movies like Speed Racer, Need for Speed, Death Race... So the score is less disappointing than expected. With good WOM it can still be on track for 1M. Countdown does fairly well with a not-so-wide release but other horror movies like Escape Room performed better on a similar range of prints. La belle époque will in the coming weeks cross the 1M mark for real, while Hors Normes will go for 2M before November ends. Joker will try to reach 6M before the end of the year. Countdown debuts at #6 with a decent average but does a lower score than mid-range horror movies like Ready or Not. It will reach 300k, which is higher than Doctor Sleep. Abominable, Maleficent 2, Midway and Zombieland 2 complete the top 10. Edited November 18, 2019 by Linkinitouille 3
Parasite
WOW. Frozen II sold 77830 tickets in pre-sales at Pathé-Gaumont. It's 10x higher than Aladdin and 460% of Toy Story 4. Aladdin, Maleficent and Toy Story 4 indicate an OD around 700k admissions, while the TLK comp is giving it 470k OD. 500k would be absolutely phenomenal. Reviews and early ratings aren't so hot right now, so we'll see if it hurts it. Les Misérables is also off to a great start ! Pre-sales are indicating that it could open around 50-60k OD. 7
