With the PLF screens coming tomorrow, it will probably hit 1 million within the next 30 hours.

Added about 340 from 2Ds last 24 hrs. Olive had PLFs as about 11% of BO, but we seem to see in other markets that PS rush for them is even more intense. With maybe 90k PLF in the first 6 hours and 170k 2D, over 1M by end of day 3 looks about right to me.

Yep.

Surpassed my expectations today, meaning tomorrow will (almost) certainly hit 1m. Stunning performance. End of day 4 should overtake IW for most presales ever.

From quickly browsing over CGV there's still plenty of seats left, though many are during the daytime when people are working.

Versus UK too till the 14 or 15th to hit 1 million in sales. What are ticket price averages? I think they are around 10 pounds a bit less in UK ($12.50 or so)

That's interesting as total box office for Infinity War was lower in South Korea than UK.

Phenomenal stuff.

In its second day of presales, Endgame obliterates everything else with a fantastic 330k tickets sold, for a total of over 755k. That's higher than Civil War's final presales (as well as every other MCU not called Ultron). Speaking of Ultron, it has now passed Ultron's 1-day-before total, as well as Infinity War's 2-days-before.

Tomorrow will see the release of Premium formats, providing a further boost which should propel Endgame to over a 1 million tickets, joining Infinity War as the only other movie to pass the mark. Difference being Endgame will do it in its 3rd day of presales, not the night before release! It will therefore also surpass Age of Ultron's final take tomorrow.

Barring a massive slowdown, it is currently on track for 1.8 - 2.0 million tickets presold, which is an absolutely phenomenal number given Infinity War had the previous best at ~1.15m tickets.

Finally, Endgame currently occupies 1865 screens in the market (without premium screens), so is very much on track to beat IW's 2.5k.

Tomorrow we will have another day of big ps's, but after that it will slow down. Also I do want to note that 1.15m tickets is at midnight just before OD. IW did hit 1.35m presales for saturday.  (Most of the time ps's are highest at friday midnight.

Ah yes of course, what I mean is presales before the movie releases. Although I have a feeling this time around that Friday midnight won't actually be any greater than Tuesday Midnight, simply due to the sheer greatness in the numbers from Tuesday Midnight.

Prime seat Endgame tickets are currently selling for $50 bucks on the black market, usually in bundles of 2 at $100.

Reminds me of interstellar IMAX

Are there any Dolby Cinemas in SK?

I think it can compete with Lie-max at least.

Yeah, only CGV has IMAX but big theaters in Megabox and Lotte have Dolby Atmos. If CGV doesn't release 2D IMAX they'll be my go to choice for endgame.

Dolby Cinema = Dolby vision+ Dolby Atmos, it's quite popular in China, very good experience even for 3D .
