Also note that it reached 100k two days later than CW, but 3 days earlier than both DP2 and SMH. Given how family oriented JW2 should be, the best comp may actually be SMH, which had phenomenal walkups compared to presales iirc. Also note that JW2 is currently only on about 1/2 the screens it should end up on, and it is releasing on Memorial Day I think, which may inflate presales. IW is also holding well this weekend. It already passed 11M admissions so anything more is just extra gravy. DP2 still on course for ~35M+ but 40M is dead. It hasn’t been dropping that good. Hard to tell mate. If it follows TLJ then it will get to around 220-240k admissions. But Solo is showing better legs than TLJ. In fact Solo will exceed TLJ’s total legs this weekend itself. TLJ also suffered a catastrophic drop after its second weekend when a few new movies opened that took away pretty much all its screens. It fell 90+% from its 2nd Sunday to its 3rd Sunday for example. Solo too will face a huge movie (JW2) and will lose screens but I dont know if it will suffer a huge drop like TLJ did. Also its weekly drop this week has been in the range of 62-65% and it made about 78k admissions this week (Mon-Sun). Now weekly drops tend to improve as the weeks pass by but with JW2 opening and its poor performance so far I dont think it will improve.
