Still not very good though. Let’s see if holiday can help boost it tomorrow. How’s the early rating online for DP? imbruglia
Naver is not good indicator at all. low review count, everyone can review it. it's nice to see later like years later. CGV Egg DP 78% from 4,180 Rocketman 87% from 848 rocketman's wom is not that great, but the problem is zero hype and no interest. DP is... sad. lol people are so disappointed this being x men's last and ending being so.. uneventfull. CGV 13:20 1. Parasite 243k 2. Aladdin 147k 3. DP 70k 4. MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO(1988) 12k 5. Rocketman 4.3k Aladdin is on fire. its 4DX is also popular, disney korea might add "sing a long" showing due to big demand. 3

Looks like light competition all June unless something can break out or there’s a local I’m missing. 7.5M is not really a projection but rather optimism which I’m banking on the holiday weekend to deliver Actually looking at numbers though, Parasite opened to around 3.4M admissions for 4-day weekend so I think around 2.5M admissions for Thu-Sun this week seems more in line. 13M finish will be tough. Summer days can help with the legs, but June is normally not the best summer time to maximize the legs. I think it was mentioned a couple days ago in the thread, but looking at top local movies, the overwhelming majority of highest grossing movies were released either in late July/early August or during December/January frames. Yeah my comment was more along the lines of “I dunno about 7.5, seems like it would lead to a really high total.” I’d guess more like a bit under 7 and a bit under 11, but we’ll see how the holiday wknd goes.

ZeeSoh
Today was Memorial day in SK hence the huge increases for all the movies Parasite - 830,067 (+94.94%) Aladdin - 373,363 (+230%)!!!! Dark Phoenix - 245,728 (+100.5%) Godzilla 2 - 6,468 (+37.3) @imbruglia If I am not wrong then the Netizen rating on Naver is by people who have actually seen the movie as opposed to the audience rating where everyone can vote. Kind of like how Rotten Tomatos does it nowadays with verified and all audience reviews. Dark Phoenix has also come down on Naver netizen rating from 8.8 to 8.45 now. 6 1
imbruglia
Yeah. Naver have actual aueience review.(netizen is everyone) But people barely use naver for ticket booking. So very low rating count and it seems higher for every movie. So not a good indicator for movie's reaction. I don't see other locals using this. Is there anyway to search for past movies ratings on CGV? I tried looking but couldn't figure it out. Because without it, you cannot compare new releases with past ones unless one has saved all the ratings data. Naver at least allows very easy access to ratings for past movies which then can be used for comparison.
