Knowing Sony it'll be as painful as last night's. :P

Sources tell me that Sony's Amazing Spider-Man made 13-16m during matinees on the July 4th Holiday. That is the same result as films like Transformers 3 and Spider-Man 2. "We're up there with the big boys now, and for a Wednesday that is a truly amazing result." Exact numbers for the full day were not given. But it's obvious Sony knows how to shovel it.

This may not be the best way to look at it but if Transformers included its 8.8 million in previews to its opening day it would have made 36.6 million. Wednesday was 29 million so down about 20%. I see similar for TASM, so about 28 million.
