Fake
The market totals given on boxoffice.com when added, total to 79.7m.Probably the Brazil gross is a typo. 6.5m seems too high. 4.5m would make more sense.
JCS
Wow, $77M+ for Skyfall OS already. Even optimistically I was not expecting that much!
scabab
How would $32.4 million be the second highest in UK when BOM also lists Harry Potter 5, Toy Story 3 and Shrek 3 at opening to more? Or does that include 4 days or something?
John Marston
Did Quantum and Skyfall have the same number of opening days in France?

Or does that include 4 days or something? Some of those had 4/5 or even 7 day openings and exchange rates could mean a higher $ value. Skyfall had the 2nd biggest 3 day opening in pounds. kayumanggi
which seems them that Skyfall will only make about 50m more than QOS. Considering the four year inflation, 50th anniversary of Bond, terrific reviews, and expanding markets, seems underwhelming.Your assumption is way way way early my friend. Would be great if you wait first.
kayumanggi
Too bad 600m can't happen now...Lol. Is 600 M your expectation?

Or does that include 4 days or something? In £, Skyfall had the 2nd biggest OW ever (behind HP:DH2) that is all I care about.

Alpha
That opening overseas is great, it looks much better than Quantam of Solace. Over $400M overseas is likely now, and considering how likely the film is to reach $175M, it could be in line for over $600M worldwide. That, of course, is definitely an overestimation, but it could happen
CJohn
You guys have to understand that most markets had a 3 day opening instead of their usual 4 or 5 day OW. It is an AMAZING opening and 600M OS may happen. Edited October 29, 2012 by CJohn
A Marvel Fanboy
It is looking for 500M-ish with this opening, right within expectations.
CJohn
do not forget UK alone contributed 32M.Yes, but not every market is big. For every UK you have one Portugal. The movie also opened here and the OW is lower than QoS because QoS opened on a Thursday and Skyfall opened on a Friday.

Juby
Its opening in Poland (2,5 million) would be this year's best. Very surprised with this result Woooooow. Great opening!!! I saw Skyfall on Friday. The film is much better than QoS but not as good as CR (a fantastic new villain, incredible Naomi Harris, beautiful pictures (possible Oscar nomination for Best Cinematography I think), and two great action sequences - in Shanghai and in London). I give it 8/10. I'm a big fan of James Bond, I watched all his movies at least 2 times (and read the first 8 books by Ian Fleming), and I think Skyfall is one of the best parts of the series, behind Casino Royale (my favorite), GoldenEye and From Russia with Love.
