Out of ***** starsDredd 3D: ****Rope: ****3/4Rebecca: ****3/4Ferris Beuller: ***1/4Easy A: ***3/4

I just watched Rope recently, what a gem. I had never seen that side of Jimmy Stewart before and thought the film was super entertaining (despite it all taking place in a single apartment in "real time"). I have been going through Hitchcock's american films but still need to see Rebecca (not available for rental anywhere unfortunately). How does it compare to his other films?

Zerkalo 7/10 couldnot really understand this.

Jackass 3D 1/10 wtf ?

Day Breakers 8/10 solid horror

Ted 8/10 just an another comdey, R rated Surmfs.

Spellbound 9/10

Brave 8.8/10 as a film, it is way better Mad 3 and IA4, and princess animation like this is supposed to Disney product, not Pixar one.

Totally agree about Spellbound, just watched it. The ski scene at the end is ridiculously suspenseful.

Notorious (Hitchcock) 1946 - Not as strong as Spellbound but Ingrid Bergman can really act 8.5/10

12 Angry Men (Sidney Lumet) 1957 - classic, great characters, performances, and story 9/10

Doctor Zhivago (David Lean) 1965 - flawed but very cinematic and sweeping; that score.... 8/10

Lincoln (Steven Spielberg) 2012 - solid film that is extremely well-crafted but Daniel Day Lewis's performance is mesmerizing (movie:

7.5/10, DDL performance 10/10)

Saving Private Ryan (Steven Spielberg) 1998 - Hadn't seen since it was in theaters, simply a great film 9.5/10

Silver Linings Playbook - skillful blend of comedy and drama, loved it A Schindler's List - one of the greatest movies of all time A+Skyfall - story was slightly weak but great acting and film-making easily compensated A-Unforgiven - great western, but that "Schofield kid" was pretty annoying A-MIB3 - pretty amazing that this turned out to a be a solid film B
