Weekend Actuals-Bourne Legacy 38.1m

Recommended Posts

Which to me makes sense. They are completely re-inventing the Bourne franchise.

Well they didn't do a good job of it did they. Mixed WOM means this will have none of the original legs and nor the excitement for a sequel.

I think the wom is mixed. I don't think it's horrible. Even if it hits a 2.5X it will come close to 100 mill. That isn't so bad.

No. Rth Friday and Saturday would be lower than the estimates. He posted in the weekend thread.

Thanks

Yeah most normal sane people didn't. But I was obsessed. One of my favorite franchises. So yeah I went big.

Guilty of this as well. I think I had my original guess at 35M then as the weeks went by enthusiasm got the better of me. :P. guess I should have remained more grounded.

More like a spin off. I should be happy with the OW number. I just wanted it to perform somewhere between Identity and Supremacy. Now hoping to see the final tally to be in that range but with EX2 coming out next week, it'll take a hit.

$100m will not be an epic fail but it surely will not be the rousing finish Universal was hoping for. If it gets to $125m or so, then a sequel for Cross might be justified. Of course OS can change all that.

While Bourne's $38.1m looks alright now, what happens to it when The Expendables 2 comes out on Friday? I'm pretty sure that The Expendables is going to be targetting a similar demographic and will likely lead to a huge drop for Bourne.

So $400M Friday...Which is 29 days(4th fastest).I assume we're looking at a 10M-12M weekend Baumer?

I'm going to say it falls about 47% to about 10 mill.
