I have an idea for something else and I will present it to the site once the Summer Game is over. It's a bit more time consuming so I'll leave it shrouded in mystery for a while. :)

After thinking a bit, these are the biggest shocks of the list in my opinion:- Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are nowhere to be seen, but Avengers and Iron Man are in the top 70!,- No Harry Potter made the final top 100, but somehow The Hunger Games sneaked into it,- No James Bond movie. What do you guys think?

I agree it's a surprise that Iron Man ranked higher than Spider-Man 2 (or at least I don''t agree with it).Hunger Games is flavour of the month, so it's no surprise.

I'm thrilled that no Potter film even sniffed the list. Most of them are bland and average films.

I am not saying they deserve to be in the top 100. But THG is there and HP isn't? That was shocking to me.

It hasn't sold more than Avengers. Sorry, but it will finish with 150 mill less, there's no way it sold more tickets than Avengers....keep dreaming there Dex.

I meant1. Avengers2. TDKRYes Avengers sold more tickets but TDKR sold more tickets then anything in 2011 and 2010.

To be honest, I don't think Spidey 1 and 2 hold up as well as they used to. I still like them, but I'm not as crazy as I used to be.I love the HP series but I think the only two that likely would have made it in would have been Azkaban and DH 2.Of the Bond films the only one's worthy of the top 100 would be Goldfinger, Casino Royale and From Russia with Love.I agree that THG has no business being in the Top 100.Had I did a top 100, I probably would have slotted in a few more animated films from Disney during Walt's era

So I take it is pretty safe to say that The Lord of the Rings trilogy is the most loved and admired of all trilogies on this forum, seeing as those were all in the top 11. Original Star Wars looks to be 2nd with Nolan's Bat films coming in third based on rankings.2. LotR: Fellowship3. Empire Strikes Back6. Star Wars7. The Dark Knight9. LotR: Return of the King11. LotR: Two Towers23. The Dark Knight Rises32. Return of the Jedi44. Batman Begins

First I was kinda sad that some of my top 20 movies (Trainspotting, Totoro, Rear window...) were ranked so low, but then I remembered they wouldn't even make the Top 100 if I didn't vote, so I'm glad I "helped" them :lol:Yeah, lol at THM, Iron Man and Avengers (Come on, 31º???), but we should remember this is also a popularity contest. I saw people complaining about Lawrence of Arabia being too low, but I've never even seen it, and I bet many people here haven't seen it either. On the other hand, almost everyone here saw Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight and Titanic, so it was obviously chosen by lots of people. This was a great list, after all, I just think Hitchcock movies should've ranked higher and I don't get all the love for Nolan. I wish I was here when the countdown started, good job, Sims.

LOTR should be considered as one big ass 10h movie. The Three movies were shot together (the only trilogy which was made like this even if they continued to shoot throughout the years after the first initial big principal photography back in 1999-2000-2001) with the exact same crew. They are just Act I,II and III of the same story. So saying you liked Act III more than Act I is like saying you liked the last hour of TA more than the first one.
