I'm just

It's normal in China.There were about 2,500 cinemas and 8,000 screens(about 4,000 3D screens, including 30 IMAX screens) when TF3 was released in July.Now there are about 3,200 cinemas and 12,000 screens(about 6,000 3D screens, including 66 IMAX screens).

I'll hold onto that $200m thought. Over-enthusiasm would make a $150m total (which I do believe it will exceed) feel like a disappointment. More often than not, the reported actual in the end will be lower than what's suggested by deducting the online ticket sales number. I'm still thinking a $70m opening week, setting a new record, and then probably a 2.2-2.4 multiplier given its a Tuesday release, for a $150-170m total.

May 1 Golden Week is coming, its multiplier might be higher.

Fantastic for Titanic. Is the Iron Man 3 announcement for real? If so, need any more reasons of how creatively bankrupt Disney are?I mean, yes, you can't fault people for taking advantage of the massive and growing market, but honestly?Disney have put merchandising ahead of everything else for years now. I wish there were some repercussions for this sham of a studio.

Yes, good point. 200 mill is ridiculous.....then again, so is 100 mill. This is a rerelease dammit...it's made it's money here before. I don't understand why it's doing this well in China.
