after a good start Bourne's run is disappointing. Trek OD is also Meh. IA5 looks like grossing around 450m (~ $70m) which is barely above IA4. I think era of china gross increasing big is OVER. I wont be surprised if TF5 also disappointed.

I can't see TF5 disappointing China. It might not beat Mermaid's 500M+ but I fully expect gross around 400M.

I've recently watched "the mermaid". It was fine... Nothing to rave about.. My main complaint with the film was it's low production values... Cgi was sub standard...

What is the usual budget for a blockbusters like monster hunt/mermaid??

Nine Lives and The Shallows to come in at 12-14m for OD

Thursday was the lowest BO day of the year. Today might be the lowest Friday of the year at 50-55m

 

JB and IA5 lost more than half their screens and will be down 70-80% WoW

 

Looks like STB, JB and IA5 will all finish in the low to mid 400s.  $63-68m.  Haven't seen a runner in months.
