lost in the stars has a 6.4 douban and broke out massively, in fact it seems like most hollywood films that came out recently have stronger douban scores than big hit local films

Even without CIS countries Russia should be above Spain. Probably above Italy too.

Don't know how Comscore bullshit the $4.8bn. According to CFA, the first half of 2023 gross RMB26.3bn and the July thus far is RMB6bn. Sum them both we will get RMB3.23bn, or $4.5bn. Probably they will the best FX rate (1USD: RMB6.7) in 2023 to boost the number to $4.8bn.

This isn't exact ranking to show which market is no.1 or no. 2 but I am using numbers (1., 2.,.....) just for reference that 10 Markets cumulative total are provided by ComScore 😓

SUNDAY Estimates -

 

1. Creations Of The Gods - ¥131M / ¥382.1M (+15.7% YD)

2. Chang An - ¥130M / ¥1193.1M (+16.7% YD, -8.5% LW)

3. Never Say Never - ¥62.8M / ¥1854.6M (+20.3% YD)

4. Super Family - ¥53.5M / ¥221.8M (-33% YD)

5. Barbie - ¥30.1M / ¥58.1M (+54% YD)

 

Super Family terrible WOM gave a good increase to rest of works. Barbie got 61% more shows on SUN than on SAT.

 

Chang An attendance rate is higher than Last SUN while Creations Of The Gods increase from SAT even with atleast 25% less shows. Both likely to stay flat on upcoming weekend when One and Only debuts
