For Sunday, it is generally 2:30 PM.... which means it is on track for 8-8.25x2 = 16-16.5m.

2:30 pm - 8.175 x2 = 16.35m -10% drop from Sunday (with about 12% more screens  - 12.1% v 10.8%)

Although it did not open as high as some of the other Indian movies, its holds have been great. It increased quite well on Saturday and its drop on Sunday was even better. 

 

Its rating on Maoyan is not as high as Dangal or SS so I cant say much about its legs plus JW2 is coming this week. Lets see how it holds over the next 2-3 days. That will give an indication about its legs

3:30pm: 3.72

4pm: 3.92

 

Monday so far looks like  ~ 7.2 - 7.5  (~5-10% drop from last week).

That I put $6.5m + becuase 2 weeks ago the mid point was at 16.15pm, than last week it was at 3 - 3.15, I am just covering myself in case the mid point goes to 2:40 pm 😛

Summer weekdays are starting to kick in with exams over for college. 50% drop from Sunday is the norm for summer.  -55% or better is good for now.

if it holds tight it should be close to 6m on thursday.  It lost 60% of shows from thur to fri last week and still bumped 10%.  But JW is direct competition and we may see a drop to 4m on friday.  Im looking for a 150-200% bump on saturday though. 

Its still on Pace for $373m for Thur.  DBF will be $3-6m and then leg out out $2-3m more

Well $6.2m maybe a decent OW but the dailies are crashing.  Just a 6.2 Maoyan rating(thats about the worst I've seen and the dailies reflect the WoM)

S  13 -20%    A 30% bump is the norm. Flat Sat from Fri is very bad.  A 20% drop is toxic

S    8 -38%   -27% is the norm

M  3.5 

 

It will lose 90%+ of it showtimes and drop 95% its second weekend.  It will finish at $8.5m

5.8 at 10pm - it might not hit 6

 

Not sure what the pace looked like the last few hours but it looks like evening shows didn't pick up from the afternoon at all.  With schools starting to get out maybe the midday is now closer to the w/es at 2pm

Well it had 1.4m ps so at 4pm it was at 2.3m (-PS) how the hell do more than 50% of the people go to the movies before 4pm? I mean I have never gone to the movies before 2pm, and mostly go at 5pm, 7-8pm or 10pm.  But this is probably based on a lot of PS during the day for later shows right?

I guess so though but to have that strong P.S. 5 weeks into a movie is a bit odd, right?

one reason, when the numbers are small, Maoyan can be off a lot.
