A Marvel Fanboy
LiT broke non opening Tuesday record with $10m+, just less than $1M shy of T3D's opening Tuesday.PS. It also crossed the 400M yuan mark on Tuesday, the 7th day of its run. Edited December 19, 2012 by firedeep
Poseidon
Sadly Pi will lose 70% of screens on Thursday, and all screens after Sunday.560-570M finish. That's ridiculous.China is a new market for cinemas and should be full of multiplexes. There's absolutely no need to cut a movies run if people still want to see it. vc2002
Looks like LiT is losing about half of its screens to the new major release CZ12 this wknd.

The keys will be expired by the time. Only very few foreign movies had been extended. Edited December 19, 2012 by firedeep

It will still have about 30% on Friday. And just sit and watch both Guillotines and Last Tycoon bomb pathetically. The two will instantly bomb on opening Friday and lose screens to LiT and CZ12 on this Saturday ...

A Marvel Fanboy
How common is it for domestic films to get an extended run?Mostly depending on their bo performance and the distributors/producers wishes. Since most local movies have bad legs, not many have been extended.

vc2002
How could it be ? I mean, it is even far from a open/free market ... That's exactly my point. If a market like this can produce $100m films frequently, just imagine how scarily massive it can be when it is open and running on full capability.
