TASM2 will have 37.3% showtimes share tomorrow, biggest for any foreign movies.

Presales are slightly better than CA though it has no holiday boost.

You mean total or opening day lol.

 

Does it have a chance to open with a 30 mill OD?

TASM2 made 4M yuan/$640k at midnights!

Biggest of this year.

[*]Strong working Sunday opening for Spidey. If it switches release date with CA2, it most likely could do more than CA2 in total. But still, bigger OD than CA2 looks good. It can not have worse legs than Hobbit 2, so 500m yuan or $80m seems locked, $100 good chance.

 

Too bad it has to go through six workdays in a row to reach its first weekend.

 

[*]CA2 basically closes with over 717m yuan, #2 2014 so far, as well as entering all time top 10, #10 slightly ahead of Personal Tailor for all, #5 for foreign.

 

It would be interesting if all three superhero movies (CA2, ASM2, DOFP) gross over $100m in a row. DOFP's date is probably even better than CA2's.

 

[*]Rio 2 is the only major letdown of 2014 to date from Hollywood, nearly closing on just 240m yuan.
