But it's still one year, and the trailer wasn't action packed. Maby if they bring on the full battle sequence the chinese people will love it

I am not convinced SW7 will be uber blockbuster in OS markets. I think traditional markets will be big but the big question is Asia and LA how it will do. Its definitely not hitting Avengers 2 numbers.

Interstellar Saturday was overestimated, more like 34.7M, total 638M total.

So, it'll still earn a large mount of money and $120M would be easy.

SW isn't really action packed, or at least not the type of action that Chinese audience like most. I'm not sure we would be hungry for space ship flying around. And a lot of us will probably think the lightsaber stuff is silly after all the local kungfu swordfighting movies we've watched.

 

But $100m has become kind of a standard for hollywood blockbusters in China at this moment, so I don't think that's gonna be too hard.
