Olive
New Star Wars teaser didn't generate much hype on Chinese SNS. Still I think it can make $100M and will have similar release date to Hobbit movies. Edited November 29, 2014 by Sorcerer Supreme
pepsa
New Star Wars teaser didn't generate much hype on Chinese SNS. Still I think it can make $100M and will have similar release date to Hobbit movies. But it's still one year, and the trailer wasn't action packed. Maby if they bring on the full battle sequence the chinese people will love it
keysersoze123
I am not convinced SW7 will be uber blockbuster in OS markets. I think traditional markets will be big but the big question is Asia and LA how it will do. Its definitely not hitting Avengers 2 numbers. Olive
Yep, IMO EP7 OS ratio will be under 55%, like EP3. Interstellar Saturday was overestimated, more like 34.7M, total 638M total. Early Tuesday screening count The crossing Part 1 - 60% (will go down to 40%+) Woman who flirt - 18.4% Interstellar - 6.7%
Fantaboy
Star Wars series is not so well-received in China as in USA, but it still gets a wide recognition as it is the type Chinese audience like - action movie packed with exhilarating moments. So, it'll still earn a large mount of money and $120M would be easy.

I'm not sure we would be hungry for space ship flying around. And a lot of us will probably think the lightsaber stuff is silly after all the local kungfu swordfighting movies we've watched. But $100m has become kind of a standard for hollywood blockbusters in China at this moment, so I don't think that's gonna be too hard. Olive
Is $10B possible? (Around 31B yuan I think) That's 5B, about half of DOM market(a bit of $10B) yearly revenue. And possible.
