Anti-Japan sentiments is at an all-time high recently due to the dumping of treated radioactive water recently. Not sure if this will help Oppenheimer significantly but I have seen chatter on Chinese social media of people wanting to see Oppenheimer because of this.

It was approved by IAEA. Even our closest neighbour "Korea" didn't objected either. So, far only the China, it's media outlets and some NGOs are protesting. Perhaps, I hope they don't end up blocking out content entry point like 2012 Senkaku Islands dispute which block our content access for 3-years.
