Outside B.O. sources beg to differ. Edited November 11, 2012 by Breaking Dawn baumer

riczhang
I think 90 million is still on the table with 35+ Friday.Yeah, if you take the 37 million take out the 2.2 million from Thursday, and take midnights into account by giving Skyfall a multiplier slightly worse than Casino Royale gets you up to about 87+ million for the weekend. Including midnights but not Thursday.

baumer
I doubt it'd drop that much on Sunday. Why wouldn't it? QOS did....it's still football Sunday in the US plus there are CFL playoffs in Canada. Our box office will be down a little as well.

RichWS
I think that Sunday drop is perfectly reasonable, and I expect it. The question is how front-loaded is it on Friday. If it does open $36-37M, what kind of Saturday drop are we looking at? 10%? If WOM is great, maybe it's only 5? The core audience is also a little older. BenedictL11
Actually in 2007 (the last time a Sunday was on Veteran's Day), only one movie dropped more than 40%.CFL Playoffs were still there on Veteran's Day in 2007 but the drops were softer than normal. Plus, many banks have a holiday the next day.http://boxofficemojo.com/daily/chart/?sortdate=2007-11-11&p=.htm
