Alpha
No way Espionage Project does that little with Tom Cruise and Matt Damon in the leads. Also, it's the only opener on a historically great weekend. $40M is the bare minimum on Opening weekend.Anyone remember Knight & Day?

The Dark Alfred
I think Giant Spiders 2 should open higher than the first one, close to 50m. It got surprisngly decent reviews and hit 100m. Vast Dark is looking at 35m IMO. Action Movie will do Scary Movie opening then fade away real quick. Shiverin Gulch should be able to open above 20m. riczhang
Worlds Apart should do better than that. It's got no competition for a month. I'm expecting 300-350 at least. Edited November 13, 2012 by riczhang
The Creator
I'll be disappointed with anything less than 400 million for Dawn. I know that's a high number to reach, but I'm staking it on the line.

CJohn
We should put every blockbuster opening over 70M and every Spielberg/JJ Abrams/Nolan/Cameron movie opening over 100M and over 400M DOM total. And I won't even talk about the rated-R adaptation of a videogame making over 250M! How the fuck is that possible in the real life ?

Blankments
I'll fix ONLY the legs. It's sandwiched between two other high-profile projects. It's still the only release on a usually highly profitable weekend, and it's an easy appealling premise. It's essentially Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt vs. James Bond, with some help from Jack Bauer, Hawkeye, and The Rock.
riczhang
It's still the only release on a usually highly profitable weekend, and it's an easy appealling premise. It's essentially Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt vs. James Bond, with some help from Jack Bauer, Hawkeye, and The Rock. This. It should open high but not have quite as good legs as you're giving it.
