fishstick
I kinda love the Skyfall win.Skyfall should replace Life of PI. Pi was expected to win cinematrography which I thought was awful, like cotton candy vomit. Skyfall rocked the shizzle and Shang-hai tower sequence is insane. 4815162342
There is no ZDT steamroll. Critics awards are done. No, they've only just begun. You have DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Southeastern, BFCA, NSFC, OFSC, etc announcing over the 3-4 weeks. Gopher
As I suspected, the people who love The Master really do love it. That could be enough for a BP spot a la Tree of Life.

Industry, and by extension AMPAS members, pay more attention to Guilds and Golden Globes nominations. Edited December 9, 2012 by TLK

fishstick
They stop being important once SAG and GG nominations are announced. Industry, and by extension AMPAS members, pay more attention to Guilds and Golden Globes nominations. That`s true. Critics awards are just a warm-up for the real ones. They kinda give you an idea how guilds might vote. Once bominees are announced by the big ones, nobody pays attention to critics. Which is why major critics get their shit out before guilds and GG.
