Phil in the Blank
TDKR actually wants you to believe that Batman had a good three hours to dump gasoline in a perfectly shaped BAT along a building, and no one saw this....and then light it on fire. Yes because the Joker being able to rig up not one but two ferries with explosives while the city is on heightened alert with no one noticing until they are in the middle of the fucking river is totally more realistic! Yet one film you love and the other you hate. Its not your opinions that bother people Baumer, its your complete and utter inability to defend your own opinions with anything more than superficial reasoning that does.
Omario
Maybe im reading them wrong but Baumers posts have a hint of sarcasm in there that some people on this thread are not noticing.brings to mind that devil stirring the pot pic that shawn posted lol.
Phil in the Blank
Oh he is certainly stirring the pot ;)But at the same time he actually does believe that BD2 is a vastly superior film to TDKR and it would be nice if he could actually explain why he enjoys BD2 so much rather then going 'lols i dont need to defend my opinions!' Gopher
I think it's further evidence that baumer's whole Twilight craze is a charade. He likes getting other members riled up.
DeeCee
Please don't spoil BD2 for me. There may come a time when I've seen every other film in existence and I might watch the rest of the series.
The Stingray
Praising TDK but tearing TDKR apart because of its plot holes is funny to me. I mean, you could drive a Mack truck through the plot holes and stupid shit in TDK.
dashrendar44
Yeah like what happened when Batman jumped to save Rachel falling off the building. Joker is still threatening the party goers on top of the building. And then...Nothing. Cut to the next scene.
The Stingray
Or in the same scene when Batman & Rachel plummet down from some 100 stories up, crash on top of a car and not so much as a scratch on either one of them. When I was seeing that scene I kept thinking, Alright he's gonna use his Bat hook... he better use his Bat hook... USE THE F***ING BAT HOOK!! And then... crash.

That level of raucous activity was bound to attract police protection and put him at a disadvantage if he stayed.
baumer
My love for Twilight is not to stir the pot. Those of you here from Mojo know that I had a 30-40 page thread in the Speakeasy explaining why I liked it so much. I just don't feel the need to explain it over and over again. I'm not going to convince those of you who hate it to love it so what's the point.

Squaremaster316
Did he really do that or are you being sarcastic?I can't remember that.Watch the scene, he's clearly whipping his cape around to form a make-shift parachute and slow their descent. You may or may not like that method of preventing a fall, but it's clearly what he does. Jack Nevada
I found so much to nitpick about TDKR after the second viewing, but I dont find nitpicking that much fun

Maybe he didn't like the beverages at the party and went for a Pepperroni Pizza with a Dr Pepper drink at the corner of Gotham Main St instead. Seriously though, Batman just curb stomped the Joker's goons, so his bargaining chips were virtually gone, and he was seen running away when Batman jumped out the window to save Rachel.
