Okay first off I am not a big fan of Starwars, I think its the most overated series by far. I started watching Spaceballs nearly a year ago and could not finish it. I thought it was really bad.

Not my cup of tea.

One of my favorite comedies of all time.

Agreed about it being so quotable. Even the little throw away jokes i love.

What a pleasantly surprise, it really delivers on the humor. That's really say something because spoofs are not really my thing. I didn't find Airplane! (aka the masterpiece of the genre) funny at all and Hot Shots, a well received spoof that I watched recently, is fucking dreadful.

8/10, on of my favourite MelBrooks comedies with some really hilarious stuff.

I've never been much of a fan. There are a couple funny bits, but most of the schtick was done -- way better -- by Brooks in his earlier stuff. At the time, it also felt immediately dated, like it was a half-decade too late. That's not so much an issue now, of course.

The comb the desert scene still makes me laugh.
