Cloud Atlas is a failure as a movie on every level. The movie was an unmitigated disaster. I could not have had a worst experience at the movie theater watching that crap.I stick by my F. As for Perks of Being a Wallflower, I can see why other people loved it. It just wasn't for me. It's a 7/10 for me. Not great, but not horrible either. The Master bored me too tears. It was a well made film, well acted, and expertly directed. But, I have to rate the movie based on if I liked it or not. I had mixed feelings on it.

You certainly have a strange movie rating system. I guess most movies you watch never dip below a 6 then.

Oh, There's movie which came out last year I absolutely loathed. Mirror/Mirror , Three Stooges, Project X, Battleship, and quite a few others. They would be F movies. Anything above a 7 would be a positive. Edited by FilmBuff

The school grading system works that way. Anything below 6/10 is an F.Honestly, it's not that bad a way to grade movies. Most of them have a little effort put into them, at least.

I think that system inherently is a flawed and outdated system. The reason you have 10 numbers is so that you use all 10 of them, otherwise why bother? I use 5/10 as a benchmark average C movie. Anything below is below average and anything above is above average. This way you have a lot more leeway and ability to distinguish the difference between the good and the great, and the bad and the ugly.

5/10 *100 = 70?LOL, okay. Must be aggy math. Where did you learn it?

It's not about the math. It's about what makes logical sense, If you assign numbers based on percentages you might as well use a percentage system because you're only ever probably gonna end up using 5-10. It defeats the purpose of using a /10 vs an /5 system.

Did Spaghetti run a poll and then have a huge cry over the winner of the poll?If I only had a Penne for everytime that happens.....

To be fair, I was drained as f#&k that night, and I didn't want to give a big spiel about a winning film that most people were visibly annoyed about. Besides, delayed gratification always makes things better, no? ;)Also, approve of the pasta puns. Edited by Spaghetti
