Biggestgeekever
I'm sure it is. I want to stay excited for this movie, but it's hard to when everyone else is giving in. I wouldn't give in. While the reviews do have a point in regards to its simplicity, I think it's by design to focus almost completely on the emotion and relationship between Merida and her mom. It tugs the heart strings more than WALL-E or Ratatouille.
Sims
Up is so easily the weakest of the Pixar films. Agreed. Haven't seen Cars 2 though. Edited June 11, 2012 by Sims
Noctis
I haven't seen either Cars or Cars 2, nor do I have any desire to.
Heretic
Very happy to see this getting a great response thus far. Unfortunately, I have to wait for the middle of August to see it. Very eager to hear the score.
MovieMan89
I haven't seen either Cars or Cars 2, nor do I have any desire to. Yeah you're not missing anything. Sad thing is Cars would be worth a watch if they chopped a good half hour off. Talk about a stupidly long animated movie.

Gideon
After Brave, Pixar doesn't have any "girl leaded" project, right? Unless we count the "into a girl's mind" project?
whoot
cars and cars 2 are worst of pixar's , anyone agrees? I like Cars, sometimes I pick that over the others. Cars 2 I don't even own.

AniNate
cars and cars 2 are worst of pixar's , anyone agrees? The first Cars I sometimes swap out with Ratatouille depending on my mood. It may be blander and less imaginative, but I generally finish watching it more satisfied than with the other film. Cars 2 however is both unimaginative and unsatisfying, so its position won't change. Edited June 11, 2012 by tribefan695

Claire of Themyscira
I think Up is one of their best. One of my favorites for sure. It's like a masterpiece.
iceroll
The beginning of Up was fantastic but after that it was a pretty typical adventure movie.
hasanahmad
All the 6 reviews on RT mention this is a SAFE pixar movie and not really as good as the great classics of Pixar. I think the performance will be similar to Cars
