Well the points determine your rank and points allow you to buy things (bonuses in games, immunities, etc.) but are also necessary to winning the game. You get points based on individual performance (for having the highest individual average or for having averages over certain scores (usually above a 90%)) and for team performance (first place team gets +3 points to each member, so +6 points total for the team). The more points, the higher your net worth. You and Metta both got -1 point last week for not predicting, but you each got +1 this week for improving so drastically, so right now your team has 0 points total and sits in last place, but you can pull it up.

You can get points for special things, like hidden bonuses. For instance, Mattrek received +1 point for getting the highest individual average on predicting Chronicle's gross, but he also got +1 point for scoring a perfect 100% on predicting Chronicle.

Team Avatrek (Avatarfan and Mattrek) has been chosen for The Challenge. You guys are to challenge each other. Mattrek has +5 points and can therefore buy an immunity, but Avatarfan only has +4 points and is therefore obliged to enter the Challenge. If Mattrek buys his immunity, he will forfeit all his points. Avatarfan will then be paired against another competitor.

Well yeah, but I figured it would work out that way since it's more strategic. But that's why I try to award more points to those players who deserve them so they can have means to save themselves. If you hadn't accepted The Challenge with Avatarfan, perhaps he would have won against whomever he competed and you two would still be a team, but with the deadline tonight I don't believe I would be able to switch out your spot anymore as it wouldn't be fair to the member with whom I'd have to replace you.

Anyways, in the meantime, here is this week's game.
