  1. Jon Chu to direct this Hasbro property. http://variety.com/2014/film/news/jon-chu-to-direct-hasbros-live-action-jem-and-the-holograms-movie-1201140547/
  2. The Red Hood would be awesome. But, there needs to be villains for the Red Hood to kill.
  3. I started watching this on Netflix and now after a couple of months, I am all caught up with every episode. First, I want to say Felicity is my favorite character. Second, I am intrigued for what they have in store. It seems like they are building up beyond this season. I expect that we won't see Ra's Al Ghul until at least season 3. And, I wonder when Oliver will learn Malcolm is still alive. I do expect a big fight against Deathstroke at the end of this season, but I think Deathstroke will still be around for some time.
  4. Ehh, I think the show is a mess, but I watch it anyway. Right now, I give it a C+. Anyway, the only characters I care about are the scientists, mainly because I like their accents and chemistry. I don't think there will ever be an episode I truly think is amazing, but I continue to watch because I am a MCU junkie.
  5. $300M will be the floor for this. If the sequel is decent $400M+ could be in play.
  6. I thought the film was his weakest. I give it a C.
  7. Yes, but lots of serious films on serious subjects have won in the past. This film released any year would have won BP. It is pure Oscar bait.
  8. So, does anyone know if that Ray Dolby guy that was shown was the inventor of Dolby Sound?
  9. Actually, the Academy tends not to screw over films like 12YAS. As a matter of fact, this is the typical type of film to win BP. Now, sci-fi on the other hand has been screwed over since the dawn of time.
  10. Nolan has 3 DGA noms and not a single BD nom. He is the most DGA nominated director without a BD nom.
  11. Gravity winning 7 and BD and with 12YAS only winning 3, this year was sort of like a tie.
  12. Interestingly enough, Gravity has won the second most Oscars in the last 10 years.
  13. It's crazy to think that Sandra most likely made more money on Gravity than Cuaron.
  14. 1. Nolan 2. Nolan 3. Nolan 4. Nolan 5. Nolan
  15. Has anyone seen this? This is some pretty funny stuff. JERUSALEM (AP) -- David O. Russell's crime drama "" could be a big winner at Sunday's Academy Awards. But for the movie's many international fans, it may take a little longer to realize it. In their country, there is simply no word that captures the true essence of "Hustle." So in Israel the film is known in Hebrew as "American Dream." In France, it's translated as "American Bluff." In Argentina, it's "American Scandal." In Portugal, it's "American Sting." In Quebec, it's "American Scam." In Spain, it's the "Great American Scam." And in Turkey, it's merely known as "Trickster. 16. I would not call this weak year. I guess you could call it an average year. Beyond Gravity and 12YAS, the other nominees don't do much for me. But, that's just me. However, I actually am in the camp that feel this is an above-average year for movie quality. I do feel 2010 was one of the best recent years.
  17. They should open it against Lego 2 so it bombs extra hard.
  18. 3 years is the standard wait for an animated sequel. It typically takes 3 to four years to make an animated fill because of all the CG, so 3 years sounds about right. Name the last animated sequel that came out in less than 3 years. Planes 2 doesn't count
