    I've literally been waiting for this since I was 10 years old.... I remember when the movie cam out me and my friends would act out the characters. Feels so long ago.

    It's only PG? This will be a big hit believe me parents will be taking their kids to see this. and teachers will take their students. African American churches will take the youths to see it too. Great idea. Let's just hope it gets good reviews.

    I preferred the first trailer tbh. It seems they are spoiling the whole movie in the trailers though. And I hate the music in this one.

    The date of the wide release was also moved up to January 6 instead of Jan 13 ! I think Fox thinks this has potential. I know a few Trades are predicting it to get a BP nom

    yeah this is what i think too. Some elements of the movie seemed like they took place in India. It seemed like an mixture of countries actually. But the dad spoke arabic and there were a lot of Arab elements as well. Or they might go with racially ambiguous-non white actors like they did on the broadway version lol. But that might be controversial idk.

    also this isn't even going into what the fuck they are going to do about the genie. Unless they cast someone fucking amazing and transcendent their will be backlash to the genie. Even then. If they copy Robin Williams too much their ,will be backlash, if they are too different, there will be backlash.

    lol Disney is so Original! This is so unnecessary. I mean I liked Jungle Book and i think Beauty and The Beast will be good but this is excessive and I know Disney ain't casting Arab actors in this so it will be controversial.

    it's impossible that it will do less. The trailer has gotten positive reactions. I really can't see it making less than 56.1 domestic......

    I was surprised how little Ludi Lin was in the trailer. Same with Becky g since she seems to have a fanbase as a singer. The Trailer seemed to focus mostly on Jason, Kim and Billy. I don't know if that's indicative of screen time in the movie.

    i honestly think this will do well. The response online is pretty positive. Sure there are the typical "too serious" comments but I really don't think this will flop..

    The Trailer's youtube views aren't great but it's legit gotten so much attention on social media. The facebook video already has over 20 million views and the trailer has been spread around a lot on twitter with some videos having tens of thousands of re-tweets. I know social media isn't always the best indicator but I think it will def be a hit if they market it well.
