    yeah the audience is confusing. I don't see this getting an audience even if it has good reviews. Should have been PG-13 and had more typical teen jokes in the trailer

    Yeah I think it will be a hit.The budget will be low and I think it will appeal to a wide range of people I can honestly see it making like 40 million domestically. Possibly more if they market it well.

    interesting. It seems they are trying to appeal to adults with that trailer lol. They need to try harder to appeal to teens. I guess the R rating might hurt it in that regard though.

    I was talking to someone who saw a screening of the movie. (They are definitely trust worthy) They said that they think the trailer spoils too much but there are still a bunch of twists later and that the script is really good and the cast is strong. They didn't tell me anything else but that it's more of a satire/psychological thriller than sraight horror in the vain of "cabin in the woods"

    I honestly think maybe some of the clown stuff was promotion for the movie but I think the rest is a bunch of pranksters jumping on the trend and trying to get attention.

    I actually prefer Denzel's interpretation of this on stage. Earl Jones is a fantastic actor but his intensity made him seem like he was more of an asshole father. Denzel's stage interpretation was more like a father looking our for their son with tough love.

    This will be a hit over Christmas for sure . . Assuming that it's good. Black community will def show up for it and of course Denzel fans and older people. I wonder if Denzel can get a directing nom for this.

    Lmao what. You are really trying to make this more special than it is. Those were all original movies with big budgets sold on its big name stars. Gravity was sold as "sandra bullock stuck in space." The Martian was sold with " Matt damon stuck in space" this movie is being sold as "Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt stuck in space." Its following a space trend. I should give it props for not having revolutionary special effects lol?

    It's jumping on the yearly tentpole space movie trend. Dont forget wolf of wall street, revenant and others. I dont get acting like this if the first movie with a big budget to not be a franchise film when tentpole space movies with big stars are made every year to big success.

    why are some people acitng (The Futurist) like this is the first non sequel franchise movie ever released. Like wtf. What is the logic behind the assertion. It looks like sci fi for people who don't like sci fi. It might do well but I doubt it will get good reviews.

    Mmm it looks kind of generic. I thought it would be more of an existential movie about being alone not a generic "you die I die" action movie (and that line was so cheesy)

    Oh wow I completely forgot this was rated R lol. What a silly choice in terms of boxoffice potential. And you know I'm sure if they just removed all the f bombs it would be rated PG-13 and you wouldn't lose anything from it. It doesn't seem like the type of film to warrant an R rating. I mean Easy A was Pg-13 lol. Yeah it won't make 60 million then.

    i think this will do well. The trailer gets good reaction in the the theatre and the good reviews will help. I'm guessing 60 million domestic.

    mm interesting. I was reading on twitter that they would proabbly try and push her into supporting for this and that Jake was the lead but they are advertising it has HER movie.

    lol its beyond obvious when Damien made this film he expected it to win "all the oscars". I haven't seen it but I agree with the poster that said it seems like it was made in a created in a lab from some scientist's best picture winner formula. There's nothing the academy loves more than films about hollywood lol. Add in the musical part for the unique gimmick, with 2 big, well liked stars stars and tribute to old hollywood it's like a checklist lol. Add in that it's completely uncontroversial and inoffensive.

    What? Elle Fanning has had a pretty decent career for a child actor. She was in Super 8, We bought a Zoo, Maleficent and recently in The Neon Demon. Honestly I would say her career is going better than Dakota's currently. She has so many project lined up.
