The trailer kind of makes the plot hard to place, but I really appreciate it when this trailer comes on. It's usually surrounded by the Hitman, Genysis, or Transporter trailers and they all use the generic "DUN DUN DUN" sounds and other action movie trailer cliches. Yet, this one is all poppy and fun looking.
Still catching up, but for the most part last week the movie was getting universal praise here.
I mean, I enjoyed it as a cheesy, dumb romp down nostalgia lane.
Low $90s is fucking amazing though. that's waaaaaay above the 2006-2013 openings for them, TS3 being the exception of course.
Adjusted its on par with their best.
Top-tier Pixar, for sure. A great return to form, and the movie we've been wanting to see from them since we were leaving the theater for TS3. I admired Brave and enjoyed MU but they both left a lot to be desired when compared to Pixar's past streak, and this was exactly what I hoped.
A- for now. Lots of fun, and now I'm definitely looking forward to The Good Dinosaur.
Inside Out was great. Lots of fun, probably Pixar's most consistently funny film as well. My friend and I both loved it. She was also amused at the Lava short,
Glad to see it absolutely unphased by JW's beastly grosses. Truly a weekend, hell, a month for books.
Even in the age of HD and Blu-Ray, I still much prefer seeing a film in theaters, even if it's standard format and not IMAX or any of the other higher end formats.
I wish more people my age felt the same way.
Hmm. My record is 7 times for TDKR. Three times opening weekend, last time I saw it was at a dollar theater in November.
I see movies multiple times a lot.
