  1. Finally saw Oblivion. A sort of pastiche of Planet of the Apes, Escape from New York, Star Wars, and several other films, lots of fun spotting the references. Seems like SF films haven't changed at all since When Worlds Collide. The major actor is a man, the major function of women, to be saved. No reason why Olga Kurylenko could not have been in the main role. Apparently in the future nuclear weapons selectively killed everyone but white people, except for Morgan Freeman. Great ending. OST was nice. Also found it funny that aliens came across the galaxy just to steal our water even though water is one of the most plentiful compounds in the universe. Also another thing, if there are other clones out there all maintaining drones, aren't there like at least 52 of them since there's 49 and 52? The movie seems to skip over this without explanation. 2. First time I saw this I had to pause after the guy's arms got eaten by the stomach. A+
  3. Forgot how bad Attack of the Clones was. That line about the coarseness of sand I can't believe the writers looked at it and were like "Yup, lets add that".
  4. I thought the Avengers was pretty boring and rather bland. Captain America 2 is the best marvel film from all the phases so far.
  5. Ironic because TASM2 the video game is pretty disappointing too.
  6. I finally saw the film...its kinda enjoyable, but also pretty disappointing. Also, WTF is up with the music in the movie? There was some really odd out of place music (though the dubstep wasn't too bad). Some fights were pretty cool. 3D was okay. C+
  7. I hope its not 11m, it might have trouble reaching 40m if that number is true. 13.2m can save face at least.
  8. Best marvel film since Iron Man 1 for me. Though the camera and terrible soundtrack prevented it from being truly amazing, its a great film. A-
  9. After seeing the movie and from an atheist point of view, God's Not Dead is a half decent comedy.(The film basically claims the atheist professor is evil, and tries the strawman argument the entire movie)
  10. Meh All the characters have no chemistry at all and the movie is extremely predictable though the actors are okayish, not really all that great. And the middle part of the movie was pretty dragging. Ended a bit abruptly too. Its probably more for fan service, but definitely not going to resonate with me. C-
  11. I'll just repost my brief review. Seems like everyone agrees that if you liked 300 you'll like this one. B+
  12. After all the hype finally got around to seeing it. I thought it was kinda generic for a Disney film, besides the excellent musicals, though some of them got kinda repetitive. I guess one problem I had was that the story was pretty predictable, and once Kristoff showed up, I knew immediately that Hans would turn out to be the bad guy. I'm kinda mixed on the protagonist. The true love ending was great. Visuals were lovely. Olaf I enjoyed as a character, and it was kinda shot where he was completely out of place which was great. Also the march to go find the queen was classic Wizard of Oz group of 4 people. B+
  13. I lost it when they showed the Star Wars scene. Awesome. A+
  14. The scene where the Shenzou is falling through the sky is just so epic. The music and everything was just so powerful and emotional. This is seriously the best soundtrack piece of 2013. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZRQmcQK6Lk
  15. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Period. End of story. Also Glenn Beck thinks the reviewer is being unpatriotic. I didn't see her dissing the SEALS anywhere in her review. She actually raises a lot of good points.
