I can see it finishing around DMC's total. The competition for the next few weeks will hurt its legs, but it'll pass it easily.

I was expecting Gatsby to collapse, but apparently not. Man, and that IM3 bump. Great weekend.

I think IM3 will win Friday anyway considering how bad Gatsby is.

Performances were good, but my god, the film was so boring. Hard to fathom how they messed this one up. CGI EVERYWHERE Soundtrack was okay. 4/10

Anyone unhappy with 172m is nuts.

Damn it, was hoping for 48m to break 180.

I personally think its a cool gif, regardless of box office gross?

I'm thinking 180 is doable. I guess 400m is in the bag. Any word on cinemascore?

Star Wars Episode 7 But, man the DH2 midnights were so insane, that the line went all the way into our town!

3D I guess? First big summer movie OS.

I thought at first WOM was good, but a lot of my facebook friends seem pretty mixed on it, and they all loved TA. I think the plot was a mess personally. I enjoyed it, but its nothing like IM1 or TA.

Better then IM2, but that's not saying much. Still can't top the first film. Performances were good. 7.5/10

Jurassic Park was about dealing with technological hazards. Avatar was about white man saving people. Jurassic Park wins in my book.

Performances were fantastic by the cast, the story was good too. My favorite part of the movie is the soundtrack, its just so beautiful. A

The Illusionist

Watching this a second time really opens your eyes to certain aspects. Fantastic film. A+

Well just saw the finale, what a disappointing season overall. The last 6 episodes of 3 are just really bad.

Finally saw the film. First off, pros. Visuals were fantastic. Music was decent. Performances by Fassbender and Rapace are great. Cons: The story itself is utterly horrible. The last half hour in the film I can point in particular. Like many have said, Shaw (Rapace's character) has some insane major surgery on her, that she somehow managed to stay conscious though, then does stunts within the next few minutes. Weyland is introduced then next minute is totally irrelevant. The alien structure after it gets rammed by the ship comes down on Shaw and Vickers, and their logic is to run not to the side, but at a perfect angle where the ship can easily crush them. Shaw dodges it hilariously quickly and Vickers is like "I'll just keep running instead of running to the left or right" and gets crushed of course. How the hell did that alien in the escape pod grow to be larger then a human in a matter of hours? Really wanted to laugh at the last scene. Doesn't David need his body to be online like the droid in Alien? Not sure about that part. Pointless questions introduced to be obviously answered in a sequel. Man the characters are just so dumb. D- Man, Ridley Scott must be getting old. Or his writers are just useless.

Indiana Jones gets into the fridge to survive a nuke. That was just so hilariously bad.

Finally got to see the movie. Music is fantastic first off. Just absolutely epic. Secondly, the singing by most of the cast is rather well done, especially Hathaway, Barks, and surprisingly Redmayne. Jackman was pretty good too, though a tad overblown. Russell Crowe cannot sing a damn sadly, since his character is so great. He would have been better in a non-musical version of the story. Carter and Cohen were okay, made for some laughs in the audience. Camera work seems very iffy, like weird closeups of some people of them singing and sometimes you don't even see their head. The battle itself was okay, even the set was the same size. I give this a B+

Enjoyable film, though rather overblows the US role, but its Hollywood. Music is excellent. There's a lack of character development with lot of the cast. Also, I hate how the main character was so obviously race casted, not to mention keeping the same facial expression throughout the whole film. B-

I love the world he created, books were great. Its a shame it will be seen as some fantasy war thanks to the movie.

Explains a lot why there's report of empty seats. My showing had like only 4 people.

Its disappointing considering everyone seemed to be claiming it was going to beat DH1's OW which was highly unlikely to me. WOM should be solid. Can't really say TH1 is much of a draw for me. The film felt stretched as much as possible and dragged at plenty of times. I loved the visuals.

I highly doubt its had THAT much of an effect on the gross. Its not being labeled "The Hobbit School Shootings". WB is trying to spin this.
